I usually work form the top down with my initial glazes. Here I begin with a nice sky using the wet in wet process. Then I move down and duplicate the colors in the river and lay in my lighter values throughout the painting.
It all comes together. After the painting is done I will sit on it for a few days to look for any areas that need a little more attention. Then it is off to the photographer, then to the framer, then to the gallery where some lucky collector will snap it up (I hope.)
