Studio at Maynard Dixon Home – Hwy 89 Show

Watercolor Painting of Maynard Dixon and Edith Hamlin Studio in Mt. Carmel UT, also used by Watercolorist Milford Zornes

About this Item

I have enjoyed visiting the Maynard Dixon’s home at Mt. Carmel UT for “Maynard Dixon Country” and have held several plein air workshops there. We held our workshop in this wonderful log studio which oozes charm. It was really used mostly by Dixon’s wife Edith Hamlin who sold the property to watercolorist Milford Zornes who lived there until he passed away. It is now owned by Susan Bingham and the Thunderbird Foundation.  I painted this for the “Art on the Highway – Hwy 89” show which will tour Utah starting in May 2023. SOLD
