In the beginning of my painting, I lay in light and middle value glazes, covering most of my paper in the first 30 minutes
With much of the foliage in place I continue working on the chapel, painting the darks around the windows and defining other shapes.
Once the grazing horse is added to the scene, all that remains is to build up the foreground shapes in the field, and add a few details.
All finished and ready to frame!
