The weather was perfect except for a little wind in the afternoon. But what a glorious day to paint outdoors. I enjoyed doing a plein air painting demonstration for a small group of exceptional artists in Snow Canyon near St. George Utah. The group watched as I explained my method of creating a small thumbnail study in my sketchbook to plan my composition. Then we proceeded to complete the painting over the next hour, coming up with a nice finished plein air painting. It was nice to have videographer Dennis Gardner along to to some videotaping.
