Mountain of the Sun is one of Zion National Park’s more prominent peaks. As the sun rises the backside gets the light, but as evening rolls in, the warm rays of the lowering sun light up the front side magically. Either way Mountain of the Sun is equally dramatic. My favorite time is Autumn, when the yellows and golds create a captivating accent to its majesty. This is a 24 x 18 oil painting on linen board.
