The Altar of Sacrifice

Watercolor Painting of the Towers of the Virgin in Zion Canyon

About this Item

The Towers of the Virgin consist of a number of prominent peaks which are readily visible from the Human History Meusem in Zion National Park. The Altar of Sacrifice, which appears on the left in the painting, was named because of the blood-red stains dripping down from its cap.
