Description
The narrow dirt road behind the town of Rockville winds its way up the Mesa to a lofty perch above the town. The route is designated a Scenic Byway for good reason. Any spot on the mesa affords a spectacular view across the valley to Zion National Park and its multi-colored cliffs. This painting spotlights Mount Kinesava in the late afternoon when the sunlight does a number on the spires. It appears briefly in a TV commercial done for the Council called “There is a Place.” The final scene shows me painting outdoors working on this piece. Collection Chris and Elaine Johnson.
