My daughter Jana and I had a wonderful plein air painting day out in the sand dunes in Warner Valley. The February weather was sunny and mild and everything was perfect. Except when we attempted to leave I overestimated my truck’s ability in the sand. Luckily we were rescued by a kind passer-by in a big truck with a winch, tow strap and shovel. I love the sand dunes, but will be a little more cautious next time.
