We were a lucky bunch of painters last week as I was joined by about 12 other artists at the Maynard Dixon Property in Mt. Carmel Utah. The weather gave us two days of sun and one day of peaceful rain, as I guided my group to some wonderful painting spots. The rainy day allowed us to work in the Edith Hamlin studio built in the late 1940’s. We enjoyed great breakfasts compliments of Margo Cook along with a “Garden to Table” dinner prepared by Melissa Griffiths. Kiki Dee’s Taqueria even catered a taco buffet one night. Through it all we experienced the magnificent Dixon skies which broiled above us. Great experience.
