Each year Bryce Canyon National Park hosts “GeoFest,” to educate the public about the natural geologic wonders of this amazing canyon. This year I have been invited to speak and demonstrate how artists respond to Bryce’s unique geology. Along with other more “scientific” speakers I will present two Powerpoint talks and several live plein air painting demonstrations. Visitors can also join park rangers for guided hikes, family-friendly geology programs, bus tours with a geologist, evening programs with special guest speakers, as well as exhibits and family oriented activities at the visitor center. This will be an exciting event.
