Rio Virgin in Zion National Park
Watercolor Painting of the Virgin River on a Fall day in Zion Canyon
About this Item
Fall is a glorious time at Zion National Park. The already spectacular scenery is brightened by the display of yellow cottonwood and red oaks. The Virgin River wanders peacefully through Zion Canyon at this time of year and the banks and water are strewn with colored leaves. The crowds are gone and the whole place is wonderful! This painting was donated to the Dixie State College Foundation and auctioned for $4800.00 to Ralph and Cheri Atkin, long-time collectors, at the Fire and Ice event. All of the funds go towards scholarships for needy students.
