Lake Powell Solitude

Watercolor Painting of Lake Powell Canyon

About this Item

Who could get tired of Lake Powell? Each time I go there my eyes are rewarded with dazzling contrasts: oranges and blues hard and soft wet and dry. Nothing is more fun for me than slipping into a side canyon and following it to the end where where the water merges with the land. Here the still water surface is decorated with wiggly reflections from blue sky, luminous rock, and bleached branches. If you’ve been there, you know what I’m talking about. Sold at Dixie State University Fire and Ice.
