Grandma Don’t Live Here Anymore

Watercolor painting of old Utah barn and house

About this Item

I was invited to do a painting workshop for the Sevier Valley artists group in Elsinore Utah. I was teaching them to see value patterns and edges and I did a demo of this Utah barn. As I worked on it, I felt like it needed a little brick house in the background and when completed I came up with the title. So many of Utah’s old barns and pioneer homes have fallen in to disrepair and we are losing them. I enjoy sketching and photographing the old barns that remain.
