Canyon Cottonwoods

Watercolor Painting of Autumn Trees in Zion Canyon

About this Item

In the fall, the Cottonwood trees glow a brilliant yellow against the deep reds of the sandstone walls in Zion Canyon. I enjoy the negative painting technique used by transparent watercolorists to create the edges where light meets dark. This painting was sold at the Southern Virginia University Invitational Art Show in 2010
