Writer Lyman Hafen wrote an article for Etched magazine about the 2016 Zion National Park Plein Air Art event. I am fortunate that he chose me as the featured artist as he discussed how I paint plein air in the national parks. The event will be held November 7 – 13, 2016. 24 of the nation’s best outdoor painters will converge on Zion National Park for a week of plein air painting. I will present a free hour-long painting demonstration on the patio of the Human History Museum at 1:00 pm Wednesday November 9. At the conclusion of the event, over 150 paintings will go on sale at the Zion Human History Museum on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13, 2016. Funds raised are used to assist the Park with youth initiative projects and furthering the arts in Zion Canyon.
