Sponsored by the Red Rock Arts Festival. In this workshop Roland Lee will share his time-tested method for painting the spectacular red rock landscape in watercolor. Learn his techniques for painting “three-minute skies” using wet into wet techniques, along with his unique methods for painting believable rocks and cliffs. In addition he will teach negative painting methods for handling desert sage and shrubs. The class will include both indoor demos and instruction combined with outdoor plein air painting experiences. All levels are welcome but you should have previous watercolor experience and be comfortable with working outdoors.
