Roland Lee will introduce the opening of a major retrospective exhibit of the works of Robert Shepherd with an art talk at 7pm August 15 at the St, George Art Museum. Robert Shepherd had a profound effect on the art community in St. George after moving here in the early 1970’s. Not only was he active until his death at age 82, but he created a massive body of work including watercolors, oils, and pastels. His exhibit “Robert Shepherd – An Inspiration” will feature a number of his works gathered from private collections as well as from the permanent collections of the St. George Art Museum and Dixie State University. Robert was a mentor to Roland Lee as well as many others in our area. His exhibit begins Friday August 15 and continues through October 22, 2019.
