View From the Top

Description

The famous trail to Angels Landing in Zion National Park has elicited a variety of responses from hikers. Most love it, some say “never again.” Once the first peak is reached at Scout Lookout, all hikers are rewarded with fantastic views. Trees trying to eke out a living on top of Zion’s peaks have a real chore ahead of them. This painting shows the effects of wind and erosion on an old familiar tree on the hike. Collection R. Hardy
