About this Item
I joined two geology professors on trip through the Grand Staircase of Utah recently and enjoyed having them answer all my questions about the creation of this great area of the earth. Nowhere is it more stunning than in the Bryce Canyon area where erosion and time have carved marvelous hoodoos in a spectacular amphitheater. I painted and sketched on location there and did this studio painting later featuring Thors Hammer and the Temple of Osiris, from below the rim.
