A walk along the Virgin River in Zion National Park is the best way to get the scale of Zion’s amazing peaks. This formation is called “The Organ” and stands at the foot of “Angel’s Landing,” overlooked by the enormous “Great White Throne.” In this painting I concentrated on the silhouette of the yellow fall Cottonwoods against the dark shadowed cliffs.
