Red Glow in Snow Canyon

Watercolor Painting of sandstone cliffs at Snow Canyon State Park, Utah

About this Item

I practically raised my children in snow Canyon, a sandstone and lava rock wonderland near Ivins, Utah. The variety of cliff forms are a delight in any light, but the morning sun’s first rays are best, turning sandstone into red and yellow neon. We still enjoy taking our camper there and spending the night just to catch that wonderful morning glow. This painting received a Merchant Award at the 2015 Fall Utah Watercolor Society Exhibit. Collection: Bobbielee Kosuge.
