Red Cliffs and White Peaks

Description

During 2020’s Covid shutdown, I closed my art gallery and spent mornings social distancing out in the desert near my St. George, UT home. I painted a number of small studies of the desert sage and its shadows on the red sands near the town of Ivins. The tall Pine Valley Mountains were covered in snow while the foreground held the rich reds of our desert. It made a scene that just sparkled. Collection: B. McChesney
