During the “Chasing Light Plein Air” art event, I was able to spend a lot of time in the Cedar Breaks National Monument. In the spring, Cedar Breaks is covered in wildflowers of all kinds. This little plein air painting shows a few Colorado Columbines at the foot of some big pine trees.This painting won Best of Show at the 2017 Utah Watercolor Society Small Painting Show.
