I enjoyed a few days hiking along the Virgin River in Zion National Park, sketching in my travel sketchbook and gathering photos. It’s one of my favorite pastimes, especially in fall when the traffic has slowed and the air is crisp. On this gorgeous morning I enjoyed the serenity of the canyon floor, soaking in the sound of the river quietly lapping at the banks. I watched as the morning light danced across the valley floor, lighting up the yellow Cottonwoods and pushing the shadows down the cliff face of Angel’s Landing. Ahhh, another perfect day of Canyon serenity in Zion.
