DESCRIPTION:Now in its 41st year\, the St. George Art festival features hundreds of artists who will display on the town square in St. George Utah April 10-11\, 2020. The annual event is held on Easter weekend and couples great art with music and food to draw in thousands of attendees. I will have a tent there with new original paintings. The show begins with a symposium at 3pm February 14 in the Eccles Concert Hall followed by a preview of the exhibit at the DSU Sears Art Museum Gallery . This will follow with a banquet\, concluded by the official opening of the show and sale. Patrons may pull “intent to purchase cards” on the displayed pieces. SUMMARY:Zion National Park Centennial Art Event
DESCRIPTION:Roland Lee will be participating as a Centennial Artist and presenting live painting demonstrations at this years Zion Centennial event November 6-10\, 2019 at Zion National Park. Honoring Zion National Park’s 2019 Centennial\, the Forever Project\, in partnership with the Park\, have planned a distinct celebration of art and history during our traditional plein air art week\, November 6-10\, 2019. Along with our featured artist\, Arlene Braithwaite\, we’ve invited ten artists from among the featured artists of our first ten years to participate in this year’s celebration as “Centennial Artists.” This year’s event is shorter\, modified\, and more streamlined to fit in with the other great things happening during the Zion National Park Centennial. We’re calling it: “100 Objects – 100 Images\,” and it will juxtapose the legacy of art in the canyon with the park’s history. It is designed to continue\, in a new and exciting way\, the great tradition of art in the park established over the first ten years of our plein air event.
